Drumstick Leaves Soup, totally a tickling taste. Longtime back i was trying to record this recipe, this is a  kind of family recipe, i adopted somehow by giving few additional touches here and there to be a quick recipe.
Another diabetic recipes with very handy ingredients, this exotic soup is the best for pregnancy moms, with very less ingredients you can make a yummy soup which keeps you fit, Drumstick leaves are easily available in small towns and cities, here in our place its little hard to find a good fresh leaves as i used in this recipe, hope this will be an useful post and i got lot of positive feeds for this soup series, I’m very happy to back with my blogging that too with a fitness recipe, enjoying a lot of this soupy walk..

My Drumstick leaves was harvested from my help girls home, i was so happy to receive the pack of fresh bunch leaves and there is no delay as it was planed for very early to prepare for this post, and i didn’t leave the sticks too, use altogether with this soup.. Drumstick tree is more herbal related one, from tip to root it has lot of medicinal value, so i didn’t waste a single bit..

Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook time: 20 mins | Serves: 2


Drumstick Leaves 1 cup
Oil(Gingelly oil/Olive Oil) 1 tsp
Jeera 1/2 tsp
Jeera Powder 1/2 tsp
Pepper Powder 1 tsp
Pearl Onion 4-5 nos
Garlic 3-4 pods
Ladies Finger 3 nos
Tomato 1 medium sized
Salt to taste



Wash and chop tomatoes, roughly chop pearl onion, ladies finger, no need to peel of the garlic, give a wash and keep together..

Here is my fresh Drumstick Leaves, Wash them in water..(no need to plug the leaves alone, but wash well and use)

Heat the pressure cooker with oil(Gngelly/Olive), Temper with Jeera

Add, Perl onion, Garlic, Ladies finger, tomato fry for a while

Add in the Drumstick Leaves, and fry along with them..

Add 3 cups of water, salt, Pepper powder, Jeera powder, Pressure cook this for 2 whistles..

Once the pressure release, open up, and drain the Stock(soup), Squeeze the Content if needed

There you go, yummy drumstick soup is ready to serve..

    • Ladies finger is completely of my choice, texture of soup vary by adding ladies finger, so i added to my recipe, if you are not interested with ladies finger taste you can avoid
    • Serve soup in hot if need add pepper powder.
    • Make sure on slat, while heating or on cooking the salt will be less, but once the soup was ready the exact taste will emit, so carful on adding salt.

 Mushroom Soup, Filling soup it was, rich in taste with white sauce, When we started the soup series, never know we will go mad on love with Soup, we are in soup mania now.. day by day I started thinking more about soups..
I’m Much more interested in Soup series, even i want t continue this soup trails after the event too.. or we have to discuss further to carry on the Soup series.. I couldn’t make out  a good photograph since tat was happened in a peek morning and all are hurry to grab the soup bowl here, with excess light my photos went too flash.. Mushroom are rich in protein, very good substitute of chicken, this vegetable is super delicious in any form, I love mushroom in all form, hope this post helps you for learning a new soup, and for sure this soup series had a great go on my Blogging path..

Mushroom Soup2

Mushroom Soup

Recipe Cuisine: Indian | Recipe Category: Soup
Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook time: 30 mins | Serves: 4


Mushroom 1/2 cup chopped
Oil(Gingelly/Olive) 2 tsp
Jeera 1 tsp
Onion 1/4 cup chopped
Garlic  4-5 pods chopped
Carrot 1 small sliced
Butter 2 tsp
Maida/All purpose Flour 1 tsp
Pepper Powder 1 tsp
Milk 2 cups
Salt to taste
Coriander Leaves 2-3 springs


Heat a pan with oil, Temper with Jeera,  fry the onions till they turns pink

Add in the Garlic and sauté for a while

Add in the sliced carrots..

Followed by Chopped mushrooms..

Once the veggies and mushrooms got shrieked, add in water and allow to boil(approximately 3-4 cups of water)

Add in the pepper powder and salt.. Let them cook in high flame foe few mins.. need to simmer the soup..

Take a pan, heat up the butter..

Add in the maida/All purpose Flour.. Sauté for a  while,  fry the butter and flour without burning them..

Slowly add a cup of milk, whisk vigorously to the pan. so that no lumps will form.. add rest of the milk allow to boil, you can see a rich creamy sauce is getting ready for the yummy soup..

Here is the Well cooked Mushroom soup..

Add soup into the white sauce..

Cook for few mins, check for salt, and in the pepper powder(if Need), and coriander leaves to the Soup

  • Always serve Soup in Hot
  • Adjust the taste by Pepper powder.
  • Can add More Veggies of your choice..

 Lauki Soup, Fifth recipe in Soup series, When Priya and me decide for this Event we are not sure what we are going to head on, but this leads really a good collection of recipes with and This is my favourite soup with Low Calorie..
I Love this Soup, this Peppery hot sop is good for this climate, Bottle Gourd is one of the best veggie Listed in Weight Losing, This Soup has very less ingredients and taste was so great when compared to other Weight losing Soups.. Butter flavour enhance a rich taste to the soup, if you seek more conscious the substitute butter with Gingelly oil/Olive oil..

Lauki Soup/Bottel Gourd Soup

Prep Time: 12 hrs | Cook time: 0 mins | Serves: 2


Bottle Gourd write
Pearl onion write
Garlic write
Pepper write
Jeera write
Butter write
Salt write
Pepper Powder write
Corn Flour write



Peel and Chop the Bottle Gourd, Add in the Chopped Pearl onion, Garlic, Jeera, Pepper corns in the sauce pan.

Add water, salt to the pan, Cook this till the veggies are done.

Make them cool, Reserve the Water for cooking..

Blend the Veggies to a puree

Heat a pan with Butter

Temper with Jeera.

Add the Veggie puree

Followed by add the reserved water to the pan..

Mix the corn flour with Water..

Add in the pepper powder and allow this to boil for few mins.

Add the Corn starch to the Pan and cook till they get a thick consistency..

Diabetic a common word which heard from every family,  Mainly Why this happen? Which affects the System to fall in this common disease, I was invited to attend a Event “Diabetic Food Trial” Coordinated By Seema, founder of “Semora”.. Most of my friends, having an back history of diabetic. Even i too having a sad story behind the screen, nowadays its been a hereditary one. When Seema told ‘Our vision is to see a healthy diabetic friendly menu served in every restaurants in India, so people with diabetes can make an informed choice about what to eat’.
I’m having a hereditary history of Diabetic in our family, so I’m very cautious in choosing food after my pregnancy, and our generation have the chance to trace this diabetic in early 30’s.. I love shooting this Nutri Choice Pack.. and when i get the invite i was very excited to take a part, this is my first Event participation, i was there before time, and everyone around me are very new to me, not only my First Event, my first time where I’m going without Joe, was really nervous and excited what they will do, and what and all going to happen there, and “Seema” sh welcomed me with her warm smile, she comforts me with her lovely words, and unfortunately i miss the Fiternity and Diabetic Dessert Trail..

Here i saw these ingredients which are neatly arranged for the demo session.. Each and every thing are good for diabetic ingredients.. Having a balanced meal with timely intake can keep away form this diabetic.

They conducted these event for two day s in Bangalore, first day with “Fitness” title they did yoga, gym, and foodies got an wonderful opportunity, and Followed by “Diabetic Dessert Trail”.. Unfortunately i missed those event.. here we had the session with Anjappar restaurants chef “Tamil”, He showed us the Bitter Gourd Garlic curry and Drumstick soup, which i will update the recipe soon, and all these days I’m running out of time to manage my home and blog, so Please stay tuned i will be back with more yummy and yummy easy recipes to make your day..
