 Sprouts Tomato Rice, Again with a diet recipe..last time when i make sprouts in home, was confused a bit to choose the recipe.. and tried this Sprouted tomato rice.. For diet people this will be a delicious Treat..
And those who have some special taste buds, will feel a bit down with this recipe.. any how this is such a healthy platter rite,Taking sprouts in diet  is a healthy habit, more bored and tired with sprouts salad, try this for a variation.. Sprouts Tomato Rice

Prep Time: 12 hrs | Cook time: 30-40 mins | Serves: 2

Ingredients



Green Moong Sprouts 1/4 cup
Cooked Rice 1 cup
Oil 2 tsp
Mustard 1/2 tsp
Urad Dhal 1/2 tsp
Channa Dhal 1/2 tsp
Onion 1 large
Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tsp
Green Chilly 2 nos
Curry Leaves 2 spring
Tomato 2 nos(medium)
Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp
Red Chillie Powder 1/2 tsp
Graham masala 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander Leaves 2 springs for garnishing

Method

Here i start form  the sprouts recipe, wash and soak the green gram

They will double in size once they soaked well, it take almost 4-6 hours to make them soft and puffy.

Drain out the water, Put the Soaked Green gram in the Hot pot, cover this and let them sit for another 4-6 hours till they sprouts out..

Here is my sprouts, i Kept almost 12 hours for Sprouting

Now start to steam the Sprouted Green gram in a Steamer..

Steam it till the become soft

All done..

Heat a pan with oil, temper with mustard and urad dhal..

Throw in the Channa dhal and fry this for a while.. and saute the onions for few mins..

Add int he curry leaves and chillies..

Followed by Ginger Garlic paste..

And the main ingredient, steamed dhal..

Add in the Chopped tomatoes..

Cook till they Tomatoes should mushed well..

Add in the Turmeric powder, Graham masala, and chilly powder. saute this for a while, and cook till the raw smell moves out..

Pressure cook the Rice, wait to release the Pressure and keep the cooked rice ready.. fluff them using a forks..

Add the cooked rice to the Pan..

Give a good mix and Garnish with Coriander leaves..

 Bottle Gourd Soup, Such a lite and Healthy way to start the day.. MIL introduce this Soup to me, tHis is their regular normal day breakfast to keep them fit, this Soup Controls Diabetic and Blood Pressure too.
Bottle Gourd is normally had the habit of reducing weight, This vegetable is recommended those who are facing trouble in losing weight, was advised this to consume for three to four times in a week, but daily with same side dishes it will be bored rite, so i handle this veggie in this manner, when ever i bought a small whole bottle gourd it won’t finish at a second, one or two times i make side dishes and curry, then i go for this recipe, which fill my breakfast part in low crap… SO those who love other vegetable can try this same method with Radish, Beans, Ladies finger, Ridge Gourd, and why not you can go with spinach too.. so i hope this post will be a useful one.. Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook time: 30 mins | Serves: 2

Ingredients



Green Gram 1/4 cup
Bottle Gourd 1/2 cup chopped
Pearl Onion 3-4 nos
Garlic 2-3 pods
Jeera 1 tsp
Pepper Powder 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander Leaves 1 spring(optional)

Method

Wah and take the Green gram in a Pressure cooker..

Add int he peeled chopped Bottle Gourd

Followed By Pearl onion and Garlic..

And Add in the Jeera and Peppe Powder, sprinkle some salt, cover the pressure cooker lid

Put he flame in  medium flame, cook this for 3-4 whistles. Mash them well and serve by garnish with some pepper powder and coriander Leaves..

 Thipilli Rasam, This is a herbal soupy curry, best to relive Cold and cough.. This long pepper had so many health benefits, don’t know what’s wrong with the Climate, nowadays Cold and cough is very common among all homes..
Last time My MIL bought this Pack of Long pepper for making Cough medicine.. Best home remedy, which i tried in the form of Rasam, so easily this can be added with the diet, this is best option who refuse to take home remedy like my Homies, specially for kids, who give trouble in having medicines, will be convinced with this diet rasam.. Thipilli Rasam/Long Pepper Rasam

Recipe Cuisine: Indian | Recipe Category: Curry
Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook time: 15-20 mins | Serves: 3-4

Ingredients to roast



Long Pepper/Thipilli 1 tsp
Pepper 1/2 tsp(optional)
Jeera 1 tsp
Red Chillie 1-2 nos
Coriander Seeds 1 tsp

 Other Ingredients



Garlic 4-5 pods
Ginger 1 "
Curry Leaves 2 spirng
Tomato  3-4 nos
Tamarind small Lemon sized
Oil write
Mustard  1/2 tsp
Red Chilly 2 nos
Salt to taste
Coriander Leaves 2-3 springs
Hing a pinch
Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp

 

Method

Dry Roast he Ingredients in medium flame, bring this to room temperature

Add Garlic, Ginger, curry leaves and roast ingredients in to the mixer, and found to coarse powder..

 WAsh and clean the Tomatoes, Cut them into rough pieces, take tamarind together..

Add a Cup of water..

Bring this boil, tomatoes should mushed well..

Cool it and squeeze he Skin out..

Heat some oil in a pan, Temper it with mustard( sorry for the messy pan, i used the same one)

Add Curry Leaves and Red chilly, saute them for a while..

Add in the grounded powder..

Followed by the Hing and Turmeric powder.. saute this to remove the raw smell..

And finally add the squeezed water..

Allow this boil in medium flame..

And once you off the flame, add some salt and Chopped coriander Leaves to the pan..

Vegetable sandwich, super easy breakfast for the busy morning, i love sandwich to have them any time of the day.. For bachelors this recipe will be a handy one.. can make green chutney and white sauce Keep them refrigerate for a week.. and a pack of fresh bread needed to make this, just two slice of sandwich will fills your tummy..
And a tips for Diet watchers, you can go with Multi grain bread/Wheat bread.. Also the filling vegetable can be vary of you choice. then what else, for non veg readers, you guys can go with some roasted chicken or omelette. This can be packed for snacks also.. kids love the wrap of mayo/white sauce.. and for dipping use some drops of ketchup for a finishing.. Absolute interesting recipe to share with you all.. Hope this will be helpful.. Do try and let me know your experience.. This is my “Day 71 of Continuous blogging” very happy with these days to share recipes continuously.. don’t how days are rolling, Will see how long the continuous post will go ON...

Vegetable Sandwich

Ingredients



Bread 8 slices
White Sauce 4 tsp
Onion 1 large
Boiled Potatoes 1 nos
Tomato 1 nos
Butter 2-3 tsp

Ingredients for green chutney



Coriander Leaves  3-4 springs
Garlic 3 pods
Green chilly 2 nos
Lemon juice 1 tsp
Salt to taste

 

Method

Grind the green chutney, don’t add the lime juice while grinding..

Once the green chutney was done, squeeze the lime juice and give a mix to the chutney.. Boil the potatoes, peel, slice them and keep aside, along with the potatoes, slice the tomatoes and onion

Spread one side of the bread white sauce, and take other two pieces and spread the green chutney to the bread slices..

Set onion, tomato and boiled potatoes and add some butter over the bread, place the white sauced bread over the vegetable bed.. preheat the toaster and place the bread set into the toaster..

Cook this till they one.. here you go..

  • Can your favorite vegetable.. for the stuffing.. 
  • Instead of white sauce you can use mayonnaise sauce too..
